Kiko Milano Neo Noir

I wanted to do a little review on some products that Kiko Milano sent me. I just want to clarify they did not ask me to review these products they sent me a few things with a lovely note to say thank you for supporting them with my love of their products. But I wanted to do a review on the mascara they sent me so thought I may as well tell you a little about everything I got :)

As I say I got the sweetest note from them and it’s so nice for companies to reach out to people and say thank you. So good work Kiko, really top notch customer service!

I was sent a few things from there new Neo Noir range which is a collaboration with Ross Lovegrove (yes I’m a little late in reviewing these!)

Kiko Milano Neo Noir Divine Tone Moisturising Serum in Light to Medium

Kiko Milano Neo Noir Divine Tone Moisturising Serum in Light to Medium

The first thing I opened was the Divine Tone Moisturising Face Serum. Mine was in the shade Light to Medium. The first thing I noticed was how heavy the bottle is, it’s glass and feels solid. You can see the shimmer through the bottle and it just looks so pretty. It comes with a pump – perfect, I love pumps, so much easier to use if you’re in a hurry (which I usually am!). The serum itself is smooth and easy to apply. It's also quite cooling on the skin which is nice. I use it after my moisturiser, underneath my foundation to add a little extra glow to my base. It leaves ever such a subtle glow to the skin it’s not over the top so if subtle is what you’re after, then this is good for you. There is a fragrance to this serum though, a kind of floral – talcum powder kind of smell, which is really pleasant, the only thing that bothered me was that the scent lasted a while after I applied it. I love nice smelling products but wasn’t so keen on still smelling this an hour after I applied it.

Next was the Design Flower Enriched Highlighter (I don’t think it has a shade) but it comes with 2 colours. They are quite warm golden shades, I like to layer the lighter one over the darker one just because I’m excessive! I think they give a slight sunkissed glow, really pretty. This also has a slight floral scent, but you can't smell this when you apply it. In my picture of the swatches, the lighter shade is at the top, with the darker shade in the middle, and at the bottom is the two mixed together.

Kiko Milano Neo Noir Enigma Lipstick in 03 Graphic Mauve

Kiko Milano Neo Noir Enigma Lipstick in 03 Graphic Mauve

Next the Enigma Lipstick, now can I just say, I love the packaging on this more than the lipstick. And I’ll tell you why…the lid is magnetic! I found this so amazing I couldn’t stop playing with it, it’s chunky and solid and when you let the lid go it snaps shut with such a satisfying click! Anyway, onto the product. The colour is shade 03 Graphic Mauve, a lovely plum colour, I’d say this is a semi sheer lipstick, it delivers colour but not like the full pigment of a matte lipstick and it leaves a very shiny finish. No I don’t want to call it sheer as it’s pigmented but it kind of gives a slightly transparent look it’s almost glossy, oh it’s so hard to put into words when I mean! Lol But it's really light on the lips and easy to wear. It's not tacky and you can't feel it on your lips.

Onto the Maxi-Mod Mascara, this is my favourite mascara of all time. I’m not a massive mascara fan, so this was the last thing I looked at, I just think mascara is a mascara, but, I am in love with the applicator of this one. I have such a small face I find most mascara wands are too big for my eyes. This one is so small and I love the plastic comb like bristles the best, as I find the mascara clumps less with these. And the bristles are really short, much better for small eyes! Added bonus, not only does this separate, and define my lashes, but it doesn’t transfer when you use it on your lower lashes either. This is a problem I always suffer with and I struggle to find a mascara that doesn’t give me panda eyes by the end of the day, but now I have found my holy grail!!

So I want to finish up by saying thank you Kiko Cosmetics for sending me these wonderful gifts, you’ve done it again and blown me away with such wonderful products :)
