I had to tell you about this new beauty box that I’ve discovered by Look Incredible. I love getting beauty boxes as it’s like a surprise present each month, plus it lets you try things you wouldn’t normally buy. I used to get the Birchbox (previous blog post here) one but cancelled after a while as I felt I wasn’t getting things that I particularly wanted to use. I loved some of the things in my Birchbox, some of the hair products I got I ended up purchasing the full size but that’s another thing, I find a lot of the beauty boxes send you one, maybe two, full size products and the rest are sample sizes. Then I came across the Look Incredible one (can’t remember where I first saw it, might have been an advert on Facebook…) anyway this one only sends you full sized products! Plus, I felt it had more makeup items than most of the other ones you can get in the UK.
Let’s take a look at what was inside November’s box.
The first thing I pulled out was this massive tub of Spa Retreats Indulgence Moisturising Body Cream. This has shea butter and coconut oil to make it super moisturising and it smells of rose petals, which I LOVE. And although the smell is subtle it lingers quite a while. I can still smell it on my hands a good couple of hours after I applied it, albeit ever so faintly. This retails at £16.00.
Next I pulled out the No. 7 Lift & Illuminate Day & Night Serum. These say they reduce the appearance of wrinkles, visibly lift and even the skin tone and help’s diminish age spots. Sounds like a wonder cream to me! I’m getting fine lines and wrinkles now-a-days so I’ll all up for trying some of this! This retails at £14.99.
Next is the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in the shade Passion. I have some other products from the Sugar brand and I love their lip products,. This is really moisturising on the lips but it’s a tinted balm and red at that. I've never been a big fan of tinted lip products. I think full colour or none at all. I much prefer the no colour for lip balms. Just because I put so much of it on I literally cake my lips in it, you ask my husband he thinks I have an addiction problem with lip balms as I apply them every 10 minutes lol. So a tinted one just looks stupid on me as I layer so much on. Because of that I doubt I’ll use this much which is a shame as I love the Sugar lip products. The packaging on this is solid though, it’s a metal tube that screws on and it’s heavy and feels expensive (and it is!). This retails at £19.00 I’m not sure I’d pay £19 for a lip balm even if it does have SPF 15 though.
Next is the Korres Colour Sunflower & Primrose Eyeshadow. I’ve never tried anything from Korres before but I’ve heard loads about their skin care products but I’ll be honest, I didn’t even know they did a makeup range. This colour is gorgeous though, I got the shade 31 Bronze Brown and it’s a beautiful dusty, taupey bronzey brown and it’s so velvety and pigmented. It goes on so smoothly. Really pleased with this. This retails at £10.00.
Lastly, the Lord & Berry 20100 Lipstick Crayon in the shade Diva. Took me a while to find the shade on this but it’s on the lid, in case you wanted to know. This is quite a nice lip crayon, it glides on really smoothly and leaves a lovely deep plum colour and it stays put quite a while. It’s not going to last you all day but for a lip crayon it’s probably one of the better ones I’ve tried. The smell isn’t nice though, at first there’s a teeny hint of sweetness then once you’ve done all your lip the smell is quite a strong ‘lipstick’ smell. You remember when you used to play with your mum’s makeup when you were little and they all smelt like this! This retails at £10.00.
This beauty box costs £18.99 plus £2.50 postage. The value of the contents in this month’s box come to £69.99 and the best bit is that everything you get is full size.
I love this box and can’t wait to see what I get next month. Some of the brands I’ve had in my previous boxes include Bare Minerals, Makeup Forever, Stilla, Elizabeth Arden, Too Faced, Laura Geller, The Body Shop, Nars….some really good brands!
