Welcome back! I’ve bought so much stuff from Colourpop recently, and seeing as I’m in the UK and they don’t yet ship to the UK, that’s pretty impressive!
Anyway, this time, I got a few of the Lippie Stix as I’ve not tried those before and a few more of the Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks too, cos you know, you can never have too many liquid lipsticks right?
Here’s a little photo of all of the colours together so you can compare them, the top 3 are the liquid lipsticks and the bottom 4 are the Lippie Stix. Below are the swatches on my lips so you can see how they look on as well.
Starting from the bottom because that’s the lightest colour, is Lippie Stix in Skimpy. This is a glossy lipstick which glides on so smoothly, this is really creamy and these smell like fudge! Yum! This is a light beige nude, which surprisingly, I don’t currently own anything like this. I was a little worried this would be too pale for me and I’d look washed out but it’s actually turned out to be one of my favourites! It’s light and looks so nice with a sun-kissed makeup look. I was also happily surprised at how long this lasted considering it’s a glossy lipstick. Really good!
Next up is Cookie, which is a matte Lippie Stix. This one still goes on smoothly but because it’s a matte finish it is a little drier when it goes on, so tugs ever so slightly, but goes on looking creamy and pigmented. This is more of a brown nude. It’s quite a bit darker than Skimpy but still a nude so I can get away with this. I can’t pull off dark brown lips, I’m afraid to say. You can see this is more matte as well but not super matte like the liquid lipsticks so if you don’t like the way the liquid ones sit in the lines on your lips then you should go for these matte Lippie Stix as they feel more moisturising too!
Next up is Westie, another matte one. This is a soft dusty pink. This is really nice for a bit of a pop of colour, great for spring and summer. It makes me think of flowers and sunshine! I like to use this when I have a pink eye (no, not that kind of pink eye! Lol) and I line my waterline with Colourpop’s Prance eyeliner, a light blue. Ooh so summery and bright! I love pinks and blues!
Next up is Chi Chi. Ooh this is a bright orange-red matte. I love orange reds especially for a night out. Such a statement lip colour and this doesn’t disappoint! Another good one for the summer. Yes! I love the summer and all the bright colours! Also, all the Lippie Stix shades have a matching lip liner in the same name!
Onto the Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks! First up is Midi, a soft neutral beige. This one of my favourite nudes from Colourpop, I feel like I can wear this colour with any look and it’ll go. It’s like my safe lip colour, for when I’m in a rush, but need something on my lips.
Next is Shimmy, another pretty nude. But this is a pale pastel pink nude. Another colour that could go with pretty much any look and an everyday colour. This is quite a bit pinker than Midi, although it's hard to tell from the photo!
On a side note, I have noticed the Ultra Matte liquid lipsticks do tend to darken up as they wear through the day. Which is a little annoying. It’s not so noticeable until you go to touch them up and you realise they go on a lot lighter. But just to bear that in mind when you’re picking a colour.
Apart from that I still love Colourpop and very happy with the quality of the Lippie Stix too as they were new items for me. Will definitely be getting more of those :)
Let me know your favourite Colourpop lip colours so I can try them too!
