Hey all, I have to share this palette with you. I saw Kashual Beauty do a look with this palette on her youtube channel and had to have it. I’m so glad I got it, as the colours are to die for. It’s the Zoeva Mixed Metals eyeshadow palette and all the colours are metallic apart from one matte shade. All the colours are so pigmented and creamy; they actually feel like velvet when you touch them! And I love that the names of the shadows are all metal and mineral related, it’s really cute.

A quick look at the packaging, this is a cute cardboard made palette, it’s a perfect size it’s not so big that you can’t carry it in your bag and fits nicely in the hand. The design is based on rocks and metals, very quirky. When you open it up you’ll see there is no mirror, but that doesn’t bother me in the slightest, as I never ever use the mirrors in my palettes! I quite like the fact that is doesn’t have a mirror and has a nice design on there instead.

Onto the colours, I love the fact that they are all metallic, makes sense as it’s the ’mixed metals’ palette!

The first shade is called Alloy. It’s a deep mauvy purple with pink and golden shimmers.

Next along is Neo Brass, a lovely yellow gold, which looks pure gold on the lids.

Next is Bronce, an olive green with golden shimmers. I love that this looks green from some angles and gold from others

Next is Rusty Steel, a nice coppery brown, again with gold shimmers.

Lastly on the top row is Copper Plate. Oh my days I am so in love with this colour! It’s a red copper with pink and gold shimmers. It’s so bright and pigmented I can’t get enough of it.

First up on the bottom row is Warm Silver, a pretty pale pink with silver shimmers. This is really pretty paired up with Alloy.

Next is Platinum, an almost greeny tinged silver with gold shimmers, another really pretty colour. I love how these all have such interesting mixes of colours and shimmers in them. They are very original colours I feel.

Next is Ore Stone, probably the least shimmery out of all the colours, this steel blue has a slight silver shimmer through it.

Next is Aluminium, a darker silver with sliver shimmers, in some lights though it has a slight pink tinge to it.

And lastly, Onyx, the only matte shade in the palette. And I love the fact that they have put this in here, because all the metallic colours are great on the lid, and a matte black is the perfect colour to go with all of the colours in the outer corner to deepen the look and give it some depth. This palette doesn’t have any transition colours, but you can always do a cut crease using the black!

All in all, a really well thought out palette I feel, and really happy that I purchased this. The colours are all so vibrant and creamy and pigmented.

I really want to get a matte palette now to see how those shades compare with the quality of these. (I’ve been eyeing up the Cocoa Blend Palette!) I think this palette would make a perfect gift for someone, as it’s pretty when on your dressing table and beautiful when opened. I’d certainly love to have received this as a present!

I got this from Beauty Bay for £18.00 (that works out at £1.80 per shadow….um bargain!)

I hope you enjoyed these swatches, see you in my next post :)
